Driver Safety Standards
We maintain a strong safety culture across our operations:
- All drivers are DOT-compliant and undergo regular safety training, testing, and frequent MVR reporting.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections are standard procedure
- Ongoing monitoring of driving hours to ensure FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
- Use of ELD (Electronic Logging Device) for accurate reporting and accountability
- Drivers take a 10 hour OSHA course to sharpen on-site facility safety.
- VPS employees enroll into strict drug and alcohol plans set in place during pre-employment with a ZERO TOLERANCE policy in accordance with the requirements of 49 CFR PART 382 and 49 CFR PART 40.
- Drivers undergo background checks with Info-Mart and must hold a TWIC card.
